So what’s up with our name? Five Eight Coffee Company. Well, it’s actually a reference to a Bible verse, I did mention we are Christian after all. You know the joke right, how do you tell if someone is a Christian? Just wait, they will tell you! The reference is Romans chapter 5 verse 8, which reads, “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” In the newer translations, its worded, “but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” That’s what we are about, experiencing God’s redeeming love and sharing it with you.

We do that through coffee. Why? You might say. Well, most of life’s precious wisdom is shared through discussions. And many of life’s most difficult subjects, religion and politics, lead to division among us. What better way to communicate different ideas and ideologies than by sitting and sharing a cup of coffee together. We want to be the brand that breaks down barriers and builds up relationships, one cup of coffee at a time.

We all need healing, whether that be spiritual, physical or relational. So grab a bag or two, brew a pot, or a cup, invite that friend, relative, or stranger over and build that relationship. Remember, be ye kind one to another, tender hearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ sake has forgiven you. (Ephesian 4:31-32)
